Scandalous Silk Scarves for You

Why hello!

It’s me Tabitha Rayne, your friendly local scandalous silk scarf designer! I thought it high time I introduced myself and talk about WHY I work in the strange and wonderful world of the erotic arts and silk scarf painting.

I am a lover of all kinds of sensual experiences. I adore food, music, art, love, laughing, fragrances, flavours, sensations, feelings – all of everything. I have always gravitated towards the erotic and love a nude painting… or ten…

Figurative art and sensual nudes have always seduced me and I have painted them my whole life. Being short of life models has made me use my own body at times too. Having loved helping others to explore their sensual side through my erotica and romance writing, I developed a sex toy range called the Ruby Glow which has won awards and was the very first portable handsfree ride on vibrator. Offering accessible orgasms for those who couldn’t use standard penetrative dildos and sex toys became really important to me.

I quickly realised that most of the time people are simply looking for permission to explore their sexy side and if they couldn’t give that permission to themselves, I decided I’d give it to them!

What makes me qualified to give people permission to unlock their own sensual and orgasmic side? Because I can. And I do. And why not? Life is so very precious and short, why not live it orgasmically!

OK fine! But what does this have to do with sexy and scandalous silk scarves?

And so, I wanted to create something that could make you feel a bit naughty, cheeky, saucy and hot as hell – so you can remind yourself just what a sex goddess/god/minx you really are. And the best way I thought was to combine art, text and fashion so you are always aware of how sexy you are.

And so my scandalous scarves were born!

Wearing a sexy scarf can make you feel so joyously sensual and no one needs to know – they are raunchy enough to cause a scandal and subtle enough to be kept your very own saucy secret. Cleverly draped and, voila, you've hidden those nipples!

From a simple neckerchief or hair tie to a beautiful vintage up-do you can wear a silky scarf in any season, to any occasion! They truly are the most versatile of accessories. Like wearing your very best lingerie… but on the outside! So cheeky!

Or make a household task like painting or cleaning much more interesting by wearing a scandalous silk scarf to keep your hair up. I'm a big fan of personal naughty buzzes - who cares if you're the only one to know!

Guess what I've been up to...

You can even accessorise by tying a scarf around your wrist, bag or my favourite… your hat.

Over the 15 years since I published my very first erotic story, I’ve found that more and more art is being censored along with marginalised voices, sex education and sexy entertainment – including ethically produced erotica.

I can actually imagine a world without erotica and hot art and it’s a sad one. So I keep pushing through and trying to rise up to bring you creations of romance, art and sex toys to let people know that it’s normal and good to be a sensual, sexy, messy, complicated human and all that entails!

for those dusty days on the ranch...

How to wear a silk scarf

Last year, saw the return of the silk scarf in a big way, and in 2025 this fashion trend is not looking like it is going away any time soon.

Whether it's our large sheer silk green scarves or one of our more affordable vegan silk (poly satin!) Scandalous Scarf range, you're going to want to know the best ways to wear your new trendy accessory.

A silk or cotton head scarf was a mainstay for Hollywood royalty in the 1950s and 60s, with stars like Marilyn Monroe and Elizabeth Taylor using them to keep hairstyles in place or as a cunning disguise when dodging paparazzi.

Here's even more!

Over a Hat

Some pop stars and Hollywood starlets have been spotted wearing their scarf over a baseball cap. This has taken the socials by storm with viral videos popping up showing how to achieve this look.

Tied to your Bag

Like the bandana in years gone by, the silk scarf has now become the latest fashion accessory for your handbag.

As a Bandana

A great way to hide a bad hair day is to pull the scarf tight across your head and tie at the back, pirate style!

As a top

If your scarf is large enough, you can fold the scarf into a triangle and then wear it as a halter or tube top.

Wear around your neck

You could just wear your scarf as, well, a scarf! Or tie it like a tie to create a cravat-style scarf.

As a Belt

Project your 70s hippy vibe by using your vegan silk scarf as a belt to hold up your bell bottom jeans.

As an oversized ribbon

Tie up your hair with a scarf for a chunky looking ribbon effect. Whether it's for a simple pony or to accessories a fancy up do, a scandalous silk scarf will elevate any look. I'm telling you!
